Kumkum Bhagya which is one of the most watched and loved shows on the television are all prepped up for the 7-year leap in the series. After the leap, there will be new sets of twists and turns in the story. Mishal Raheja who has been well-known for his works in Ishq ka Rang Safed, Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Love Story will be making his entry in the series. Mishal is going to play a role of NRI Rockstar King Singh in the series and bring new excitement to the plot.

The actor talked about reason of joining Kumkum Bhagya “Balaji Telefilms is the number one production house in the country and Miss Kapoor (Ekta Kapoor) is the biggest producer around. Also, the concepts that she chooses are wonderful and go on to become successful. I have wanted to work with her for a long time. We had been in talks earlier but things never fell in the place. Since most of her shows also connect well to the youth audience, I was really excited to be a part of the show,”

When he was asked about joining the show in the mid-way, he said “I think it’s a bonus for me as the show already has its loyal audience. Also, with it shuffling between the top slots every week, what could have been a greater opportunity for me.”

He also shared about the excitement to work with Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha , said “As an actor, it’s your job to make them like you even when they are bashing you. So, my aim would be to do my job well.” Talking about being pitted against Shabir, Mishal said, “There are so many actors in the industry if you start competing with everyone, you would never be able to work. I really loved his work in Shootout at Lokhandwala, and used to always sing his song Ganpat quite often (smiles). I am yet to shoot with him but I am pretty excited about sharing screen space with him and also Sriti.”
