Porus is an Indian upcoming television historical period drama which is going to be airing from November 2017. The historical drama show is narrative about the unsung tales of warrior Porus who dare to rise against the greatest ruler and conqueror Alexander and fight for his country as well. The show Porus is produced by Siddhart Kumar Tewary under the production banner of Swastika Productions. The show will be telecast on Sony Entertainment Channel which will basically narrate the war inbetween King Porus and King Alexander. The series will also sketch the journey of ruler who aspires to conqueror the world- Alexander as an antagonist. The series features Rati Pandey as Queen Anusuiya who has been last seen in serial Hitler Didi. Mohit Abrol is also the part of the series Porus where he is depicting a powerful warrior. Praneet Bhat and Akansha Juneja is also featured in this action historical drama series who has been earlier seen in series like Mahabharat and Bade Achche lagte hen respectively. Porus was the ruler of Kingdom situated in Paurava from Ancient India. His journey is not just legendary and action-pack but his strike with the evil emperor Alexander made the history epic from the prospect of wars. The series will also feature the battle of Hydapes where King Porus has fight with Macedonian army of Alexander.
